Bevel tool works inside of edit mode

It works differently depending on what you select.

Mostly you’ll probably select edges because it’s the most predictable

  • 1. Edges – bevels edge between two faces
  • 2. Faces – bevels attached edges
  • 3. Vertices – bevels edges between vertices

Keyboard Shortcut – Control+B

With bevel tool active, scroll your mouse wheel up to add additional cuts

If you do use the actual tool instead of the keyboard shortcut, there are some other options down below.

Of particular interest is the option for a Custom profile – you can adjust your profile points based on the number of divisions you have

Can select multiple edges at once

This is different than the bevel modifier. The Bevel modifier is great for using the bevel tool to make objects look smoother. However, if you’re looking for actual geometry you can work with in your model, you want the bevel tool.

Can also use to add geometry at loop cuts – add loop cuts, select with alt-click
